THE COMPANY
La Cie Nuna a été fondée en 2003 à Lausanne par la chorégraphe helvéto-coréenne YoungSoon Cho Jaquet. Elle compte à son actif une quinzaine de spectacles, pièces chorégraphiques, performances et pièces pour enfants confondues.

Côté productions, la compagnie participe en février 2015 et en mars 2011 aux Journées suisses de danse contemporaine en présentant respectivement LES ANIMAUX (2014) et CHAMPIGNONS (2009), pièce au programme de la . .
Dans ses créations récentes, la compagnie compte HIT ME HARD (2013), coproduite par le Festival de La Cité à Lausanne, ainsi que LES ANIMAUX (2014), pièce chorale pour 22 interprètes (8 professionnels et 14 amateurs) coproduite par l’Arsenic de Lausanne. Pour la Fête de la danse et le Petit Théâtre de Lausanne, elle imagine HEIDI (2015) et SUGUNGGA (2016) où elle introduit le yodel dans sa recherche corporelle. En novembre 2016, elle crée UL+RA à l'Arsenic - Lausanne, en collaboration avec la plasticienne Céline Masson.
YOUNGSOON CHO JAQUET
Based in Lausanne Switzerland YoungSoon Cho Jaquet was born in South Korea and studied dance in London. In her creations she immerses the audience in a both uncanny and welcoming universe.
She has created several choreographies in Switzerland, the United Kingdom and South Korea. Three elements help define her style: the involvement of the audience, the bridge between Asian and Western art, and a focus on memory and origins. A unique relation to material and sensations serves as a link between these three central themes.
She is associated artist 2008-2010 of thefar° Festival des Arts Vivants / Nyon in 2009 and 2010. In 2011, she is awarded with the Prix de la Relève de la Fondation vaudoise pour la culture (FVPC) and le Prix Régionyon.
